Shoulderless Preparation - What’s the Revolution? What is it really about? My grandmother used to prepare teeth without a shoulder. After all, the shoulder is supposed to guarantee the marginal fit of prosthetic work. It allows the technician to perfectly shape the crown margin…
That was my initial reaction when Pasquale Venuti showed me the shoulderless preparation technique. “Alright, I’ll give it a try…”
What happened next exceeded all my expectations. It can’t be that simple, right? Preparing a tooth for a crown entirely within enamel. A straightforward preparation protocol. Significantly reduced preparation time. But what convinced me the most was the ability to save teeth that I previously couldn’t handle successfully.
 Shoulderless Preparation is a technique that completely changed my approach to prosthetics.
For over 7 years, I have exclusively used shoulderless preparation. I’ve completed hundreds of prosthetic cases, making plenty of mistakes along the way, and had the opportunity to remove and correct my own work.
This is exactly what this training will cover.
  • During the course, you will learn the protocol for shoulderless crown preparation according to the Tomorrow Tooth approach.
  • You will discover how to: determine the preparation margin, take accurate and readable impressions, create temporary restorations.
  • Understand indications for shoulderless crowns and the materials you can use
  • You will scan your own work and define the preparation margin yourself.
  • You will learn how to evaluate crowns received from a technician and what to pay special attention to.
IMPORTANT! NEW TRAINING FORMAT
  • The course is limited to 12 participants per group.
  • It consists of a theoretical part (6–7 hours) and a hands-on part (6–7 hours).
  • Participants will work on maxillary and mandibular models using microscopes.
  • During the practical session, you will prepare different teeth in various clinical scenarios.
  • You will independently create temporary restorations using different materials and prepare abutments for impressions.
  • You will define the preparation margin on scans and take impressions in different clinical situations.
